๐ฎ Treasure Type: Date Night Find
๐ Where I Found It: Amazon Luna
The second I saw Dispatch on Amazon Luna, I knew I wasn't starting it without Brandon.
It had superheroes.
Critical Role was involved.
And it just looked...cool.
So I waited.
And let me tell you, I was itching to play it all day.
When Brandon finally got home, I was basically like...
"Okay, sit down. We're playing this." ๐
This ended up being our first game on Amazon Luna and honestly one of Brandon's first real PC gaming experiences too. He's always been a console guy, but I grew up playing games on PC, so I was excited to show him something different.
Five minutes in...
We were hooked.
"We'll Just Play One Episode..."
Yeah...
That was a lie.
We kept saying, "Okay, just one more episode."
Next thing I know we've played three of the nine episodes, and now we're completely invested.
We've already decided we're taking turns making the choices, which is honestly kind of funny because now we can blame each other if one of our decisions comes back to haunt us later. ๐
One of my favorite parts is seeing the worldwide stats at the end of every episode. I don't know why, but I love seeing if we made the same choices as everyone else or if we completely went off the rails.
It Feels Like Playing a TV Show
The animation immediately reminded me of a mix between Borderlands and Invincible.
The music fits every scene perfectly.
The characters somehow feel familiar without feeling like they're copying anyone.
And the writing...
I don't know what I expected, but this game is actually funny.
Not the kind where you smile a little.
The kind where both of us actually laughed out loud.
The timing is just so good.
It Completely Replaced Our TV Time
You know that thing where you sit down after dinner and spend twenty minutes scrolling through Netflix before either of you picks something?
That was us.
Now...
I'd honestly rather play another episode of Dispatch.
It somehow became our new "show," except we're making the decisions instead of just watching someone else do it.
I wasn't expecting that at all.
Do You Need Amazon Prime?
One thing I wondered before trying Amazon Luna was whether you had to have Amazon Prime to use it.
Turns out...
You don't.
If you already have Prime, you get access to a rotating selection of games through Luna Standard, which is a pretty awesome bonus.
But if you don't have Prime, you can still use Luna.
There's Luna+, which is about $9.99 a month and gives you access to a much larger game library. You can also connect accounts like Ubisoft+, Epic Games, and GOG so you can stream games you already own or subscribe to.
I honestly didn't realize there were that many options until I started looking into it. I just assumed you had to be a Prime member, and that's not the case at all.
If you've been curious about cloud gaming but didn't know where to start, I definitely think Luna is worth checking out.
Amazon Luna Honestly Surprised Me
This was our first time using Amazon Luna, and I really didn't know what to expect.
I figured cloud gaming would probably have some lag or feel weird compared to downloading a game.
It didn't.
We jumped right in without waiting forever for a download, and everything just...worked.
I can definitely see us playing more games on Luna after this.

My Final Thoughts
I started this blog because I wanted a place to share things I actually enjoy.
Sometimes that'll be a treasure we found while out hunting.
Sometimes it'll be a product I use every day.
And sometimes it'll just be something that turned an ordinary Tuesday night into a really fun memory.
Dispatch definitely did that.
Now we've got six episodes left, and if you've already finished it...
Please don't spoil it. ๐
๐ฌ Have You Played Dispatch?
If you have, I'd love to hear what you thought!
Just keep it spoiler-free because we've still got six episodes to go.
